Chicago - City Views

One evening we visited the John Hancock Tower & Observatory. As the second-tallest building in town, it gives a great view of the skyline.

Here's a view which includes the Sears Tower, the tallest building in town:

Here we are, with the skyline behind:

Sunset was excellent. Mountains and oceans are nice, too, but there's something nice about the expanse of horizon you can view in the midwest on a clear night.

Another view, this is southwest, I think.

The view north, along Lake Shore Drive.

Becky, looking at the map which makes sense of the skyline.

Ok, this may be a bit cheesy, but it was fun. Here we are washing windows at the Big John...

This picture attempts to capture the moon rising over Lake Michigan. You can just make out the reflection of the moonlight on the water.

We didn't eat here, but anybody who's seen SNL clip shows is familiar with the Billy Goat Tavern.

Becky at the Pier. It was a fairly nice day, but got chilly in the evenings.
