Maui Photo Album - October 2008
Our 2008 vacation lined up with our 3rd Anniversary. We spent a week in Maui, Hawaii. These next pages have photos and our favorite memories from this awesome trip.
Why Maui?
Since we were locked into a trip in October, we eliminated the Caribbean, due to the high potential for hurricanes. We considered various places on the west coast of Mexico, but kept being drawn to go back to Hawaii. We enjoyed our trip to Oahu in 2007, but we thought it would be best to pick another island. We mainly debated between Maui and the Big Island of Hawaii -- and wound up choosing Maui since it seemed like it would be a really restful vacation (the Big Island seems to have more activities to do and fewer beaches to lounge on).
Basic Info
We left Austin on Saturday morning, October 4th and arrived in Maui around 5pm (local time) that evening. We stayed in the Ka'anapali area for the bulk of our trip, spending just the last night elsewhere, in Hana. We took the red-eye flight from Maui back to the mainland on Saturday evening, October 11th.
